| And nice bass; nice wood grain. Is that yellow spot thumb-wear?? I've got two Music Man basses and kind of the opposite complaint as yours - I've had a Stingray 5 for a while now, but the thickness of the neck causes me to be less precise than I am with my newer 4-string Sterling. I love both basses, though, and their growly, rich tones. Excellent for slap bass, if only I knew how! One of these days maybe I'll learn. I had an Ampeg 4x12 when I was giggin' but towards the end of that run traded it in for a 2x10 Carvin (much easier to haul up stairs, and we mostly played small clubs anyway). On top of that is a Hartke 3500 head. I play with a pick and am trying to learn finger style. I used to use a lot of effects and had kind of a watery tone but go more clean nowadays... Back then I sounded kind of like Fields of the Nephilim/The Cure/U2/Joy Division/Led Zeppelin, but now I'm going more for Tool/APC/generally harder. Got no band at the moment, though, so I'm kinda slackin' in the bass department and instead spending way too much time on my car... ;) Do you play out? I miss that. Oh yeah, my Sterling:
